This year, The Energeia Partnership asked LICA Executive Director Marc Herbst to deliver a presentation about the history of Long Island’s transportation network as part of their annual Transportation Workshop. Herbst covered everything from roads and rails to aviation and more in his informational and interesting presentation which you can view here. Other notable speakers included LIRR Executive VP (and former LI Road Warriors cover story) Elisa Picca, who also served as co-chair of the event.

The Energeia Partnership brings together a diverse group of ethical leaders from Long Island's public, private and not-for-profit sectors to help address this region's most complex issues: education, institutional racism, poverty and the working poor, land use, energy, transportation, healthcare and media/social networking. Also known as the Academy for Regional Stewardship at Molloy College, Energeia is committed to educating leaders for the benefit of all people who live and work on Long Island
