LICA’s PKF OD Webinar Sheds Light On Construction Economy

LICA’s Marc Herbst recently served as moderator for an important webinar on “Construction and the Economy” presented by LICA member firm PKF O’Connor Davies (formerly AVZ). Construction industry experts and PKF OD partners, Joe Ferreira, Tom Ruggiero and Michael Andriola, discussed key points of the current federal infrastructure proposals as well as potential tax implications (for business and individuals). They also took a look at some advanced tax planning strategies but noted that clients should be careful not to jump the gun. They stressed the importance of reviewing current business assets, liabilities, etc. so owners can be prepared to make changes, if necessary, but urge them to wait for final legislation approval and consult their tax advisors before acting, so they fully understand the implications of any changes they may make.
