lica-holiday.pngLICA HOLIDAY PARTY CELEBRATES THE SEASON

The board and staff of LICA were pleased to welcome more than 185 members and guests to our annual Holiday Cocktail Reception & Dinner Buffet at Westbury Manor last Wednesday evening. The mood was fun and festive as guests chatted with friends and colleagues over live music, cocktails, dinner and dessert. LICA was also pleased to welcome several elected officials who also joined us, including:

  • Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone
  • Nassau County Comptroller Jack Schnirman
  • Suffolk County Comptroller John Kennedy
  • Hempstead Town Supervisor Laura Gillen
  • Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter
  • Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joe Saladino
  • Oyster Bay Town Councilman Lou Imbroto
  • New York State Assemblyman Michael Fitzpatrick
  • New York State Assemblyman Mike Montesano
  • New York State Assemblyman John Mikulin
  • Nassau County Legislator Arnold Drucker
  • Suffolk County Legislator Steve Flotteran
  • Suffolk County Legislator Kevin McCaffrey

Just before the festivities kicked into high gear, LICA held a brief reorganizational meeting to tend to some official LICA business which included the election (or re-election) of board members for additional terms. Pat Ahern of Edward Ehrbar, Paul Farino of Kings Park Materials, James Haney of H&L Contracting and John Lizza of Intercounty Paving Associates were all unanimously re-elected to serve new 3-year terms beginning January 1, 2019. Samantha Ruttura of Our Rental Pumps was elected to complete a 2-year unexpired term position. The board also approved the proposed 2019 event calendar, so be sure to see “Important Dates” and mark your calendars early to save the dates!

The holiday party was sponsored this year by Edward Ehrbar & Posillico (bridge sponsors) and JESCO (highway sponsor) – we thank them all for their generous support! Be sure to check out the 2018 LICA holiday party photo gallery here.
