As part of its ongoing commitment to safety training and education for our members, LICA is pleased to announce our annual Safety Seminar for 2019 will be held on Friday, January 11th at the Radisson Hauppauge Hotel. This year, attendees can remain warm indoors while they hear from industry experts about several important and relevant safety issues. The program will include 3 sessions. You can choose to attend any 1, 2 or all 3, so send the appropriate personnel to each session. Choose your sessions when you register online here. The training, as always, is FREE for all employees of LICA member firms (included as part of 2019 member dues). Non-Members may also attend for a nominal $25 fee per person.   • New York 811-Call Before You Dig! In years past, our members found this presentation extremely helpful in answering a variety of questions related to utility excavation issues which they face daily out in the field. Get answers directly from the NY811 representative – and bring your questions with you. There will be a Q&A session following the presentation to help address any concerns or confusion! Session 1: Check-in & Continental Breakfast 8:00 am, program 8:30-9:30 am

  • ARTBA Safety Training (4 PDH credits for qualified attendees). This year, in addition to standard roadway safety, ARTBA will address specific safety training for three other important areas including: NIGHT WORK, EXCAVATION & DISASTER RECOVERY. Session 2: 9:45 am (check in 9:30) – 2:30 pm (includes 45 min hot buffet lunch).

  • Making Sense of Revised OSHA Illness & Injury Reporting Requirements. Many in our industry are still struggling to understand the newly revised requirements of OSHA’s Illness & Injury Reporting. Join us for an informative presentation on how to make sense of it all, hosted by Safety Consulting & Compliance Corp. This session is perfect for HR managers, CFOs or anyone who needs to better understand these OSHA requirements. Session 3: 2:30 – 3:30 pm.
