OSHA Withdraws Biden’s Workplace Vaccine Rule

After the Supreme Court blocked enforcement of President Biden’s temporary vaccine rule in early January, the Department of Labor announced on January 25^th that it will withdraw its vaccine requirement for large private companies which it originally issued as a controversial temporary standard in November 2021. The agency did reiterate that “OSHA strongly encourages vaccination of workers against the continuing dangers posed by COVID-19 in the workplace.”
