nys_logo.pngLI AWARDED $84+M IN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT GRANTS

On December 14, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that the Long Island Regional Economic Development Council (LIREDC) was awarded more than $84 million in grants for 98 projects, as part of the REDC’s Round VII initiative. A number of these projects may be of particular interest to LICA members, including:

  • $5 million to the Inc. Village of Northport for the Pit and Bluff Point Sewer Project
  • $3.315 million to the Village of Sea Cliff for Sanitary Sewer Connections to GC WTP
  • $2.5 million to the City of Long Beach for a Flow Diversion Project
  • $2.189 million to the Village of Patchogue for Shorefront Park construction improvements
  • $2 million to Nassau County DPW to plan, design and construct a Point Lookout Sewer Service Area
  • $799k to Town of Smithtown for Regional Highway Services Consolidation
  • $695k to City of Glen Cove for Rehabilitation of East Island-Dosoris Pond Bridge
  • $650k to Town of Islip/MacArthur Airport for Terminal Modernization Phase I
  • $175k to Village of Freeport for a Village Hall North Parking Lot Municipal Rain Garden
  • $87.5k to Town of Brookhaven for a Strategy for Climate Smart South Shore Communities (improve road resiliency, preliminary engineering, etc.)
  • $50k to SC Soil and Water Conservation District for Stormwater Runoff Remediation
  • $45k to Village of Patchogue for Shorefront Park Shoreline Protection
  • $30k to Village of Manorhaven for Sewer Infrastructure Upgrades Project
  • $30k to Village of Patchogue for Advanced Wastewater Treatment Facility Expansion
  • $30k to Village of Westhampton Beach for Sewer System for Moniebogue Bay
  • $30k for Town of Brookhaven for North Bellport Sewage Collection System Plan Map Report
