LICA/NYRIC Leader Joins The Call For NYS To Increase Funding

Last week, LICA Executive Director & NYRIC President Marc Herbst made the trip to our state’s capitol to join a rally with members of Rebuild NY Now and local officials including Assemblyman Keith Brown(pictured with Herbst), to call on state leaders to increase CHIPs funding for our deteriorated roads and highways. As part of the campaign, NYRIC and Rebuild NY Now released this joint document detailing relevant information about failing road conditions across the state and the investment needed to keep our infrastructure in a state of good repair. We hope our actions and continued advocacy will encourage Governor Hochul and our state legislators to leverage New York’s record budget surplus to increase the state share of funding in the NYSDOT capital program.
