New York 811 ("Call before you dig") which has presented at several LICA safety seminars, will host its FREE annual Excavation Safety Expo on Thursday, April 6, from 4-9 p.m. at the Long Island Marriott in Uniondale, N.Y. Each year, the Excavation Safety Expo provides professionals who work near underground utilities with the latest information and tools in damage prevention, as well as the latest news from New York 811. Attendees can look forward to:

  • Networking with other industry professionals
  • Dynamic educational sessions
  • Exploring an exhibit hall of relevant vendors

Shane, who also teaches graduate-level courses in Behavior Based Safety, Human Performance Fundamentals and Human Error Investigation, will deliver a humorous and motivational speech about how to reduce human error that you can apply to your everyday work in damage prevention.
