LICA Nomination Notice: Annual Meeting Set For December 1

As required by the LICA bylaws, we notify you that the Long Island Contractors’ Association, Inc. (LICA) will hold its annual meeting on December 1st, 5:30 PM, at the Mansion at Oyster Bay, 1 South Woods Road, Woodbury, NY. The required business that evening is the ratification of the election of board members for new terms of office.

Paul Farino of Kings Park Materials LLP (Supplier member), James Haney, III of H&L Contracting LLC (General Contractor member), and Samantha Ruttura of Our Rental Pumps, LLC (Supplier member) are completing their respective terms as members of the Board of Directors. They have all indicated their willingness to serve an additional three-year term.

According to the LICA bylaws, any general contractor, subcontractor, or supplier member in good standing who agrees to accept the responsibility of a directorship may seek a position on the board. Therefore, in addition to these three current board members, if others seek consideration, the bylaws call for such interest to be submitted in writing to the nominating committee before the next board of directors meeting, December 1st. Letters may be sent to LICA, Attention: Jason Golden, 48 S Service Rd, Suite 401, Melville, NY 11747.

Jason Golden, as chairman of the nominating committee, will recommend candidates for the positions at the board of directors meeting preceding the annual meeting. Then, following board action, we will present the results before the membership for ratification.
