Mission statement:

Our mission is to advocate for and empower women in the infrastructure sector by promoting equitable opportunities, fostering professional development, and building a supportive network that drives innovation and collaboration in our industry. We aim to increase visibility and representation of women in decision-making roles within the infrastructure sector in collaboration with industry leaders.

Helena Williams, former president of the Long Island Railroad, will moderate a discussion between featured panelists including Leslie Mitchel, Deputy Commissioner of Suffolk County DPW, JoAnne Hewitt, Director of Brookhaven National Laboratory, Assemblywoman Jodi Giglio and Samantha Ruttura Mack, President of Our Rental Pumps.

We will tap into the broad experiences of the panelists and deepen our collective understanding of how to tackle challenges, expand our ideas and form a sisterhood of supportive, professional women in this distinct field. The panel discussion will be followed by a breakout session after to network and discuss committees/advocacy goals.
